Matsuya Foods Co., Ltd. will launch 15 items built around the Minced Meat Cutlet — eight Set Meals and seven individual items — at its tonkatsu chain Matsunoya from 15:00 on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal and the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal go on sale at the same time, both at 1,090 yen, joined by platters that pair the cutlet with Pork Loin Cutlet and by versions topped with cheese.

The notice says that “one bite brings a pleasant “crisp, then juicy” texture, and piping-hot meat juices spread through your whole mouth.”

Seven Individual Items, One Minced Meat Cutlet at 490 Yen

The individual items are split by sauce and by quantity. Only the 490-yen Minced Meat Cutlet pairs one piece of the cutlet with a sauce (Tomato Sauce or Demi-glace Sauce); the two 790-yen items and the two 990-yen items come with two pieces of the cutlet plus a soft-boiled egg.

1,090 Yen Is a Price No Existing Set Meal Had

Several of these prices line up with items already on the menu. 990 yen matches the PorkLoinCutlet w/ Tomato sauce Set meal and the Pork Loin Cutlet & Fried Calamari Set Meal; 1,190 yen matches the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal and the Jingisukan Set Meal; 1,290 yen matches the Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal and the Generous Fried Oyster (7 pcs) Set Meal. Among the individual items, 690 yen matches PorkLoinCutlet w/ Tomato sauce and 890 yen matches Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese.

The 1,090 yen given to the two headline items, however, has no match among the Set Meals: it is a new price slotted between the 1,050 yen of items such as DoublePorkLoinCutlet and the 1,150 yen of items such as DoublePorkLoinCutlet w/ Miso Sauce. The same goes for the 790-yen individual items, which land between Large Rib Roast Pork Loin Cutlet (1 Piece)(cut it) at 750 yen and Japanese Authentic　Fried Chicken(8 Pieces) at 810 yen.

The launch time of 15:00 on October 28 is the same time the official X account had stated as the end of the Platter Upsize Fair (Double Portion Fair). As the campaign that doubled Side Dishes at unchanged prices ends, the 15 Minced Meat Cutlet items will take their place on the ticket machines.

Notices announcing new menu items have also been arriving roughly every two weeks of late — on September 11, September 25, October 9 and October 23.

Eligible Stores and Notes

The items are available at “Matsunoya stores nationwide, excluding some locations.” Stores in Okinawa and expressway PA stores are excluded.

The Shareholder Benefit Voucher can be used on five items: the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce & Cheese Set Meal and the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce & Cheese Set Meal. The three 990-yen items — the two Pork Loin Cutlet & Minced Meat Cutlet items and the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal — are not listed as eligible.
