StoresAddedNew store

Two new stores have been added to Matsunoya’s store list: “Matsunoya Uji Niban (co-located with Matsuya)” in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, and “Matsunoya Yatsushiro (co-located with Matsuya)” in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture. Each listed name carries a note, “*Opening October 10, 2026 at 10:00” and “*Opening October 15, 2026 at 10:00” respectively. The list now covers 681 Matsunoya stores.

The Two Newly Listed Stores

Listed store name Location Opening Business Hours
Matsunoya Uji Niban (co-located with Matsuya) *Opening October 10, 2026 at 10:00 96-1 Uji Niban, Uji, Kyoto October 10, 2026, 10:00 open 24 hours

Both are co-located with Matsuya, and both are listed as open 24 hours.

Uji Niban Is the Second Store in Uji

Kyoto Prefecture has 10 Matsunoya stores on the list, Uji Niban included. Uji already has “Matsunoya Uji Ogura (co-located with Matsuya),” so once Uji Niban opens the city will have two.

Among the 10 stores in Kyoto Prefecture, 4 are co-located with Matsuya and 6 are standalone stores without a Matsuya sign, so standalone stores are in the majority. Nationwide the breakdown is 473 co-located with Matsuya, 86 co-located with Mycurry Shokudo and 122 standalone, meaning co-located stores dominate, and Kyoto Prefecture runs the other way. Uji Niban is co-located with Matsuya, the nationwide majority type.

Yatsushiro Is the Fifth Store in Kumamoto Prefecture

Kumamoto Prefecture has 5 Matsunoya stores on the list, Yatsushiro included. All 5 in the prefecture are co-located with Matsuya; there is not a single standalone store or store co-located with Mycurry Shokudo. Yatsushiro is the only Matsunoya listed in the city of Yatsushiro.

Six Stores Are Awaiting Opening

Six Matsunoya stores carry a scheduled opening note, spanning September 30 through October 15, 2026. All are co-located with Matsuya, and every opening time is 10:00. Yatsushiro has the latest date of the six.

A word from our Matsunoya novice

Hmm. "Niban" is just the place name in the address. That it lines up with being the city's second store is coincidence.
