Matsunoya’s store listings were updated on September 15, 2026, and the note attached to the name of Matsunoya Okinawa Hiyagon store (co-located with Matsuya) in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture changed from “*Opening early October” to “*Opening October 2 at 10:00.” A deliberately vague window has been replaced by a schedule carrying both a date and a time.

From “September 18” through “early October” to October 2 at 10:00

The store’s planned opening has been rewritten before. It originally carried “*Opening September 18 at 10:00” in the store name, but on September 8 the date was dropped and the listing read “*Opening early October.” The October 2, 10:00 date now shown falls two weeks after the September 18 originally announced. No reason for the change appears in the listing.
