Two new stores have been added to Matsunoya’s store list, one in Kurashiki, Okayama and one in Suminoe Ward, Osaka. Both are stores co-located with Matsuya, and the listed store names carry the notes “*Opening November 20 at 10:00” and “*Opening November 21 at 10:00.”

Kurashiki Oshima is the third store in the city, and over 80% of Okayama stores sit with Matsuya

The Matsunoya stores listed in Kurashiki are Kurashiki Tamashima (co-located with Matsuya) and Kurashiki Mizushima (co-located with Matsuya), making Oshima the third. It is the ninth in Okayama as a whole.

Co-location type	Okayama (9 stores)	Nationwide (691 stores)
Co-located with Matsuya	8 stores	492 stores
Co-located with Mycurry Shokudo	0 stores	76 stores
Standalone Store	1 store	123 stores

Okayama leans toward Matsuya co-location more heavily than the country as a whole, and all three stores in Kurashiki are co-located with Matsuya.

Suminoe Shinkitajima: no other Matsunoya is listed in Suminoe Ward, Osaka

Osaka has 72 Matsunoya stores, second only to Tokyo’s 106. Even so, the only Matsunoya listed in Suminoe Ward, Osaka is this new Shinkitajima store.

The 72 stores in Osaka break down into 39 co-located with Matsuya, 11 co-located with Mycurry Shokudo, and 22 standalone, with standalone accounting for nearly 30%. That is a higher standalone share than the national figure, and within it Shinkitajima is a Matsuya co-location.

Nine stores are awaiting opening, eight of them with Matsuya

As of October 21, 2026, nine Matsunoya stores carry a scheduled opening note.
