Matsunoya Lists Six Items Including the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal Before the 15:00 Launch

On October 28, 2026, six Set Meal items including the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal and the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal were listed on the menu page of Matsunoya’s official website. The October 23 notice gives the launch as “from 15:00 on Wednesday, October 28, 2026” and the eligible stores as “Matsunoya locations nationwide excluding some stores” (excluding Okinawa stores and expressway PA stores).

The six items and their prices are below. All prices are tax included and are stated to be the same for dine-in and takeout.

When the six items first appeared, they carried no description text and no nutrition information, and no breakdown by size was listed. The nutrition information was published afterward (see below).

Six Items from Two Sauces and a Cheese Option

The notice describes this rollout as “a simultaneous rollout of ‘Umatoma’ and ‘rich Demi-glace’ variations on top of the standard Pork Loin Cutlet combo.” The six listed items are likewise built by recombining two sauces, Demi-glace Sauce and Umatoma sauce, across Minced Meat Cutlet and Pork Loin Cutlet, with and without cheese.

Set Meals using Umatoma sauce with Pork Loin Cutlet were already on the menu: the PorkLoinCutlet w/ Tomato sauce Set meal at 990 yen and the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal at 1,190 yen. What is new this time amounts to two items filling in the Demi-glace Sauce side at the same prices.

Every Price Overlaps an Existing Set Meal

The 1,290 yen on the two cheese Minced Meat Cutlet items matches the Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal, and sits one step below the most expensive Set Meal, the Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal (1,390 yen).

The premium for adding cheese is not uniform. This round’s Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce and Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce, and the existing Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce and Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce, are all 200 yen apart, while the Extra Thick-Cut Rib Loin Cutlet goes from 1,290 yen to 1,390 yen, a 100 yen gap.

The notice names five items as eligible for the Shareholder Benefit Voucher: the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal, the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce & Cheese Set Meal, and the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce & Cheese Set Meal. Of the six items listed this time, the Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce Set Meal (990 yen) is not included.

The Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Was Also Sold This June

This is not the first time the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce has gone on sale. The May 29, 2026 notice announced sales from 15:00 on June 3, 2026, calling it “the return, for a limited time, of the popular pairing of the juicy Minced Meat Cutlet and ‘Umatoma sauce’.” The prices then were also 1,090 yen for the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce Set Meal and 1,290 yen for the Minced Meat Cutlet w/ Tomato Sauce & Cheese Set Meal, the same as this listing.

Demi-glace Sauce, on the other hand, traces back through the official website’s notices to “Demi Cheese Pork Loin Cutlet Now on Sale!” of December 12, 2018. The item name then was Demi Cheese Pork Loin Cutlet Set Meal, a different word order from this time’s Pork Loin Cutlet w/ Demi-glace Sauce & Cheese Set Meal. Whether it is the same item cannot be determined from the wording of the notices.

As of 14:50, Nine of the 15 Announced Items Were Not Listed

The October 23 notice named 15 items in total, eight Set Meals and seven single items, and as of 14:50 only the six above were on the menu page. The nine items with no listing are below.

The official X account had stated the Double Portion Fair would end at 15:00 on October 28 — the same cutoff as the launch time of the six new items.
