On October 14, 2026, Matsunoya, the tonkatsu chain operated by Matsuya Foods, listed the Jingisukan Set Meal (1,190 yen) and Jingisukan only (990 yen) on its official website. Both prices are tax included. An official notice published by the company on October 9, 2026 sets the launch for 3:00 p.m. on October 14, 2026. On the website’s menu page, both items also carry a “store-limited menu” note.

Matsunoya says the dish is finished with the oil-cooking of a tonkatsu chain

The notice describes the meat as “carefully selected Aussie Sheepmeat” and says the “‘oil-cooking’ unique to a tonkatsu chain makes the sheepmeat tender and juicy.” The seasoning is a “soy sauce-based special tare,” and the notice adds that “the vegetables, thoroughly coated in the tare, are finished to a flavor worthy of a leading role.”
