“Tonkatsu Matsunoya [Official]” (@matsu_noya) posted at 11:37 a.m. on September 29, 2026 to announce the opening of Sushi Matsu Yachiyo. Quoting a post from Sushi Matsu’s official account (@sushimatsu_mf), it also mentions that the “Honmaguro 3-Piece One Coin Fair” (bluefin tuna) is running at the store through October 7 (Wednesday), 2026.

How the two accounts worded their posts

The original post and the quoting post describe the same event in different terms.

Value Sushi Matsu Official (@sushimatsu_mf) Matsunoya Official (@matsu_noya)
Opening “Sushi Matsu Yachiyo opens today‼️🎉” “Sushi Matsu Yachiyo opened today from 11 a.m.!”
Inside the store “We opened at 11 and are already full!” Not listed
Fair “At Yachiyo, the Honmaguro 3-Piece One Coin Fair is running through 10/7 (Wed)!” “The "Honmaguro 3-Piece One Coin Fair" is apparently running through 10/7 (Wed) as well‼”

The campaign name and the “through 10/7 (Wed)” wording are nearly identical to the original post, while the verb describing the fair shifts from “is running” to “is apparently running.” The post closes with the source account handle “@sushimatsu_mf,” and Matsunoya adds, “If you’re nearby, do check it out 🍣”

A second mention of Sushi Matsu after September 7

This is the second time Matsunoya’s official X account has featured Sushi Matsu, following a post on September 7, 2026. That earlier post publicized one piece of Honmaguro chutoro (medium-fatty bluefin tuna) at 100 yen excluding tax (110 yen tax included), and it likewise quoted a post from @sushimatsu_mf.

The September 7 post read “✨Sushi Matsu’s prized chutoro is too good a deal 🉐✨,” and this one reads “This is too good a deal……!” — both using the same phrase, “too good a deal.”

Matsunoya also has “Yachiyo” in its store names

Matsunoya operates “Matsunoya Yachiyo (co-located with Matsuya)” and “Matsunoya Yachiyodai Nishiguchi (co-located with Matsuya),” both of which are separate from the Sushi Matsu Yachiyo that opened today. What this post promotes is a fair being held at a Sushi Matsu store, and it has no bearing on the Matsunoya menu.

On the Matsunoya side, three “Pork Fried Steak Set Meal w/ Back Fat Ginger Sauce” items go on sale at 3 p.m. on September 30 (Wednesday), 2026, along with the start of free rice refills with set meals.

A word from our Matsunoya novice

Hmph. "Is apparently running." Put the event in another chain's store, and it turns into someone else's business.
