Matsuya Foods announced on September 30 that it will run the Matsuya App 6 Million Members Campaign, returning Rakuten Points on orders placed through the Matsuya Foods official app and prepaid with Rakuten Pay. The period runs from 10:00 on Thursday, October 1, 2026 to 23:59 on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Matsunoya is included.

The rate and the floor both change with the day of the week

Eligible orders are those placed through Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order and Matsuben Delivery, with prepayment by Rakuten Pay required. Eligibility turns on whether a single transaction clears a minimum, and both that minimum and the return rate split by the day of the week.

Minimum per transaction Return
Weekdays (Mon–Fri) 800 yen or more (tax included) Up to 10% in Rakuten Points
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 1,000 yen or more (tax included) Up to 15% in Rakuten Points

The company states that “the 10% return applies to customers who prepay on weekdays, Monday through Friday. It does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays,” meaning eligibility is judged by the date and time of prepayment.

Entry is required, and the cap on points awarded during the period is 10,000. Customers are directed to the coupon page in the Rakuten Pay app for details. Eligible stores are Matsuya, Matsunoya, Mycurry Shokudo, Sushi Matsu, Matsuken Chuka Shokudo, Matsutaro, Steak-ya Matsu, Steak Set Meal & Rice Bowl Matsugyu, Mugi no Toriko and Tukkun² nationwide; stores inside parking areas are excluded.

Matsuben Net also awards Matsuya Points by transaction amount, usable in units of 10 points at 1 point = 1 yen.

What a Matsunoya order has to reach to clear the floor

Among the set meals and rice bowls listed on the official website for Matsunoya, nothing is priced at exactly 800 or 1,000 yen. 790 yen is followed by 890 yen, and 990 yen by 1,030 yen, so items land either just short of a floor or just above it.

Item Price Weekday 800 yen Weekends and holidays 1,000 yen
PorkLoinCutlet / PorkLoinCutlet Bowl 690 yen Short Short
PorkLoinCutlet w/ Miso Sauce / PorkLoinCutlet w/ Grated Radish 790 yen Short Short
PorkLoinCutlet w/ Tomato sauce Set meal 990 yen Clears Short
Fried Oyster (5 pcs) Set Meal 1,030 yen Clears Clears
DoublePorkLoinCutlet 1,050 yen Clears Clears

The flagship PorkLoinCutlet and PorkLoinCutlet Bowl are both 690 yen, short of even the weekday 800 yen on their own. Of the 29 set meals and rice bowls currently listed, 8 are under 800 yen, 6 fall between 800 and 999 yen, and 15 are 1,000 yen or more.

Of the 20 Platter Set Meals that put two mains on one plate, 16 are 1,000 yen or more, the cheapest being PorkLoinCutlet&FriedShrimp(1P) at 970 yen. Many clear the weekend and holiday floor on their own. The other route is to add a side menu item, priced from 60 to 290 yen, to get over the line.

A PayPay version was announced the day before

A payment-linked initiative under the same Matsuya App 6 Million Members banner was announced the previous day, September 29, for PayPay. The banner is the same, but the return rate and the cap are a different matter.

A word from our Matsunoya novice

Hmph. A 990-yen item misses the floor on a Saturday. So the day of the week picks the order now.
