Matsunoya to Hand Out Sumikkogurashi Keychains with the Kid's Meal

Matsuya Foods announced on the 30th that its tonkatsu chain Matsunoya and Matsuya will run “Sumikkogurashi Gyu♪ to Gohoubi Campaign,” a tie-up with Sumikkogurashi (San-X character series), from 10:00 a.m. on October 6, 2026. It covers Matsuya and Matsunoya stores nationwide and ends at 9:59 a.m. on December 22, 2026. The company notes that the items carried and their prices may differ by store.

At Matsunoya, the Kid’s Meal is the only eligible item

Each order of one eligible item comes with one “Sumikkogurashi Reflector Keychain,” made only for this tie-up. Three items are listed as eligible, and the only Matsunoya item among them is the Kid’s Meal (500 yen). At stores co-located with Matsuya, the remaining two items — “Matsuya Kids’ Gyumeshi Wakuwaku Set” and “Matsuya Kids’ Curry Wakuwaku Set” — are the ones offered.

Orders through Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order and Matsuben Delivery also qualify. The notice adds, however, that Matsunoya does not offer takeout or Matsuben Delivery.

Six keychain designs, and you cannot pick

The keychain is a reflector that shines back when light hits it in the dark, sized within roughly H50 × W50 mm. A Sumikkogurashi character appears on the front, and the back has a space to write a name. There are six designs in all, and because they are handed out at random, the design cannot be chosen. The promotional image states that the keychain is not for sale.

The giveaway runs from 10:00 a.m. on October 6 to 9:59 a.m. on November 17, while supplies last. Once the tie-up goods run out, Matsunoya switches to its “regular-period giveaway,” and Matsuya switches to “Matsuya original papercraft.” For the status of the giveaway stock, the company directs customers to contact individual stores.
