Two stores — “Matsunoya Matsusaka Kamada-cho (co-located with Matsuya)” in Matsusaka, Mie and “Matsunoya Shimonoseki Chofu (co-located with Matsuya)” in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi — opened on October 1 at 10 a.m. Both listed store names had carried the annotation “*Opening October 1 at 10 a.m.,” but as of 11 a.m. on October 1 that annotation was gone, and the listed scheduled opening date had also been removed.

The two stores that opened

Listed store name Location Business Hours Co-location
Matsunoya Matsusaka Kamada-cho (co-located with Matsuya) 247-1 Kamada-cho, Matsusaka, Mie open 24 hours Matsuya
Matsunoya Shimonoseki Chofu (co-located with Matsuya) 1-41-8 Chofu Saigawa, Shimonoseki-shi, Yamaguchi open 24 hours Matsuya

Both are co-located with Matsuya, and both are listed as open 24 hours.

Shimonoseki Chofu is the only Matsunoya in Shimonoseki

Yamaguchi has eight Matsunoya stores, and the only one in Shimonoseki is the Shimonoseki Chofu store that opened this time. All eight in the prefecture are co-located with Matsuya; not one is co-located with Mycurry Shokudo or standalone. Against the nationwide breakdown of 682 stores — 474 co-located with Matsuya, 86 co-located with Mycurry Shokudo, and 122 standalone — Yamaguchi is a prefecture whose store network consists entirely of Matsuya co-locations.

Matsusaka Kamada-cho is the second store in Matsusaka

Mie has six Matsunoya stores. Matsusaka already had “Matsunoya Matsusaka Okoda (co-located with Matsuya),” so this opening brings the city to two. Going by the listed addresses and their positions on the map, the two stores sit about two kilometers apart in a straight line.

Of Mie’s six stores, four are co-located with Matsuya and two with Mycurry Shokudo, with no standalone stores.

Four more stores are set to open in October

As of 11 a.m. on October 1, four stores carry a scheduled-opening annotation in their listed store names.
